Occupational Health Services at Quincy Medical Center works exclusively with employers to help manage workplace health and safety issues. We are specialists in occupational and environmental health helping more than 250 area businesses and municipalities to decrease their costs for worker's compensation by managing work-related injuries and ensuring workplace safety and injury prevention.
Under the direction of Medical Director Thomas Winters, MD, and Program Director
Christine Cadegan, RN, the Occupational Health staff includes board certified Occupational Health physicians, a physiatrist, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and occupational health nurses. Services include:
- Physical Examinations including Department of Transportation (DOT), pre-employment, civic service, fitness-for-duty and return-to-work physical examinations. Our staff will work with you to develop customized physical examinations including visual, audio, strength, and flexibility testing as well as cardiology, laboratory, and radiology services, as needed.
- Drug & Alcohol Testing with full MRO services. We provide next day results for your Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated and other industrial drug and alcohol testing requirements.
- Drug Testing Consortium Services. Complete testing, random selection and MRO services are available. We can support your testing needs nationwide.
- Injury Management & Workers Compensation. Our Occupational Health specialists provide a full range of services to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate your employees. Our case management staff will work to keep you informed and a speedy recovery and safe return to work for your employee.
- Immunizations and Medical Surveillance, including immunizations for Hepatitis A and B, Tuberculosis, and the influenza vaccine, as well as medical surveillance testing for occupational exposures to lead, asbestos, silica, mercury and other chemicals and heavy metal.
- Customized, On-Site Health and Safety Training Programs, including reasonable suspicion training for supervisors, CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens, as well as training in work site first aid, ergonomics, and back safety.
